Birthday Girls Mad Tea Party

Another amazing day of fun, friendship and frivolity was had on April 14th for the Birthday Girls at the Glenarbon Community Hall and once again Val and Tracey had the hall set up beautifully.

It was a big month for birthdays again with the girls who could make it cutting the cake.

A final total of 27 enjoyed the day when Deb’s friends, Mick and Gael, joined us.

Where would the theme “Teapots” lead us? Well, to a delightfully, entertaining presentation of “I’m a Little Teapot” of course, performed by the ever youthful and energetic Merrilyn. Remember the moves and the words? We did. So many laughs and loads of fun!!

Merrilyn goaded us with a very amusing poem also. Thanks Merrilyn. A pot full of fun for all to enjoy.

Dee presented a poem on the companionship that sharing a cuppa brings while Marie gave us some insight into the history of the humble teapot.

Those who brought along a teapot then had a” show and tell” about their favourite teapot.

The quiz, of course was about TEA. This time the winner needed two tiebreakers. To end the Mad Tea Party we needed a song of course. “T42&24T”.

Val said Grace (can’t have all this tea without something to eat!) and it was a big month for birthdays again. With the girls who could make it cutting the cake.

It was just a wonderful day.

Winners on the day were: - lucky door-Annie D, Quiz – Cherie, Lolly jar - Wondah.

WOW: -

Work like you don’t need money

Love like you have never been hurt

Sing like no one

is listening

Dance like no one is watching

Live like it is heaven on earth. ANON.

“Life can be fun”.

Don’t forget ANZAC DAY Saturday 25th
