Boats Afloat at Texas School

The year 1 and 2 class have designed and constructed boats out of waste materials which were recently put to the test. Boats were tested in a tub of water and marbles were added until they began to sink. Some of the boats were able to stay afloat even when weighed down by as many as 80 marbles. The fun activity incorporated aspects of design technology, arts, maths and science. Sean Cole (Principal)
