Christmas in July for Birthday Girls...
Birthday Girls again used the TADDS HUB as their meeting place on Tuesday the 8th July. The girls are extremely happy that such a venue is available to them. Thanks TADDS. Although a little chilly to start, the weather gods turned on a very pleasant winter’s day.
Thank you to the Christmas elves for the beautiful presence you gave to the room for our Christmas in July theme.
It is always pleasing to see everyone enjoying their chatting and meeting people as they arrive.
This month we had several guests who made the meet and greet more interesting. We would like to thank those guests; Brenda’s sisters and niece; Angel’s sister and the Sing Australia crew.
Twenty-one lovelies, three gentlemen and Johanna and Nicolas filled the hall fa la la la. Yes David [you know who you are] three men.
After apologies the Singers led us in some carols. We all joined in to the best of our ability. Announcements, news and more carols had the room “singing”.
The Quiz was again testing and informative. Thanks Annie D, we shall carry our batchelor’s bags proudly from now on.
More carols followed the quiz with our delightful singers.
Girls having an “O” birthday are to give a little insight into their life’s story. Susan read out Fay’s very interesting record of her milestone 95 years. While Pearl, Angel’s sister’s story of 20 years was the beginning of her life’s adventure. Thanks to you both and congratulations.
Christmas presents [many chosen from the array of goodies available at TADDS] were then distributed to the delight of Johannah, which was followed by more carols.
Tracey said grace so we could tuck into the lunch spread. Thanks girls and Marie, for the ham.
The birthday cake, Brenda’s Christmas pudding, was cut and served with ice cream for dessert, and then there were more carols.
It was a wonderful Christmas in July day, celebrated with friendship, and hopefully enjoyed by all in attendance.
Thank you again to the Singers for bringing the Christmas cheer.
