Concrete Floor for Men’s Shed Skillion - Yelarbon

Excitement surrounded the Yelarbon Men’s Shed on Friday the 3rd of October as cement started to flow onto the floor of the skillion work Shed area, a project that has been in the planning for several years.

With Jeff Yeo as Project Manager and a team of local strong men to push wheelbarrows and screed the cement slab, the slab was laid in record time.

With the new cement floor this area will become a more usable area for Shed activities and functions.

The project has been made possible with funding received from the National Shed Development Program, the Goondiwindi Regional Council and the generosity of our local businesses and personnel, including Johnstone’s Cement and Quarries, Jeff Yeo, Pursehouse Rural Inglewood, Wardle’s Tool and Hire Goondiwindi and local helpers. Each and every one of these people helped make this project work.

The Yelarbon Men’s Shed are extremely thankful to be living in a community where its people work and share together for the betterment of the community.

The Men’s Shed are always open to welcoming visitors and new members so reach out if you’d like to know more about us.

Phil Donges - Secretary
