Donations to Local Community Groups from Texas Police Charity Golf Day

On Wednesday 4 February 2026, members of local community groups were invited to attend a presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation by Sergeant Mark Fielding and Senior Constable Rhys Bennett. Those attending were treated to a scrumptious morning tea prior to the presentation.

The Certificate of Appreciation was accompanied by a donation to each of the community groups for their support of the very successful 2025 Texas Police Charity Golf Day which raised a substantial amount of $25,000 for the Queensland Police Legacy. Queensland Police Legacy was established in 1971 and assists the eligible dependent families of deceased Queensland Police Officers, Queensland Police Officers whose spouse/ partner has died and Queensland Police families with a parent suffering from an incurable/terminal illness.

Queensland Police Legacy is currently supporting 56 Queensland Police families and meeting the educational expenses of 86 dependent legatee children.

Queensland Police Legacy funds its important programs and activities by public donations, member payroll deductions and fundraising, investments and revenue from the distribution of its Child Safety Handbook. You can help Queensland Police Legacy continue to provide these valuable programs and activities by donating.
