Murder, mystery and plenty of fun at Texas Memorial Hall...
Texas locals enjoyed a night of mystery, murder and trivia when The Codebreakers Widow, a stage play written by Stanthorpe local Annie Mitchell, was presented at Texas Memorial Hall on Saturday, October 10.

Hosted by the Texas Arts Council, the production by Stanthorpe Little Theatre attracted more than 60 people, ranging from schoolchildren to older residents, for an entertaining evening of audience participation and intrigue.
Presented in the style of a 1940s murder mystery radio play, the show kept the audience guessing as several suspects were interrogated and clues gradually emerged to reveal the identity of the murderer.
Audience members were encouraged to put on their detective hats, keep track of the clues and work together to solve the mystery. There was plenty of fun along the way, with some audience members even selected to take on the role of sound effects artist.
The trivia questions challenged the tables to piece together the clues and identify the villain. Ros Sinclair’s table was the only one to achieve a perfect score of 100 per cent to determine who the murderer was— well done!
Five clever groups however successfully worked out who it was, resulting in a draw that required a final selection to determine the overall winner.
