New Supporter’s Cap for Texas Students

A supporter’s cap has recently been added to the list of items available in the school’s uniform shop at Texas State School thanks to an enterprising student.

The supporter’s cap was the brainchild of Year 10 student Cooper Walker, who took his design to principal Sean Cole, and pitched his idea in late 2024. Cooper must have been convincing as he was granted approval to work with art teacher, Nel Byrnes to investigate possible designs and a supplier.

After a lot of work, including achieving the endorsement of staff and the P&C, the idea has come to fruition.

Texas now has a supporter’s cap!

The cap can be worn on the way to and from school but does not replace the students sun hats which are used for play and outside activities during school time. The cap can however be worn for sports excursions where students are representing Texas.
