Roselee Red Polls Celebrate Ekka Win
Roselee Red Polls, based at Texas, has celebrated an outstanding result at the 2026 Brisbane Ekka, bringing home the Reserve Junior Champion Female, Junior Champion Female and Grand Champion Female Red Poll of the Show titles.
Judging took place on Saturday, 8 August, with Glenwyn Wise Lady, exhibited by Gary Jones, named Junior Champion Female before going on to claim the prestigious Grand Champion Female Red Poll of the Show title.
Glenwyn Wynter, also exhibited by Gary Jones, was awarded Reserve Junior Champion Female, making it a highly successful outing for the Roselee Red Polls Stud.
“I’m overwhelmed with the result,” Gary said, reflecting on the achievement.
The Roselee Red Polls Stud features Victorian bloodlines. Red Poll cattle are a versatile dual-purpose breed, valued for both meat and milk production, as well as being a popular option for crossbreeding.
The winning cattle were led at the Brisbane Ekka by Cameron Jones of Coolatai and Dom Wise of Taree.
Following their success in Brisbane, the Roselee Red Polls team will next head to the Quirindi Agricultural Show on 11 and 12 September, where they will once again showcase their Red Poll cattle
