Students thriving at Finlay Farming Company and Year 9 and 10 Classy Artwork.

Students thriving at Finlay Farming Company

Nick Molloy and Kingston Mandavy, Texas Secondary Students, have been planting themselves at Finlay Farming Company and by all reports are thriving. The two enthusiastic senior agriculture students are participating in a work placement program where they are regularly attending Finlay Farms as part of their studies. While on placement they are learning the knowledge and skills needed to successfully carry out an agricultural operation. The boys have expressed their gratitude at being able to participate in the program with Kingston stating, “It’s really good, we are learning heaps”.

Greg Finlay from Finlay Farming Company has expressed that the boys are like sponges in the way they are listening and learning. He mentioned that both Nick and Kingston are great representatives for the school and that Texas School should be very proud of them.” It can be reported that Texas School is very proud of Nick and Kingston.

Year 9 and 10 Classy Artwork

They are at it again! The year 9 and 10 art class, led by Mrs Byrnes, are busy painting another mural at Texas School. The mural has been positioned next to the recently installed new lifts. It should be finished sometime in Term 2 and everyone is looking forward to celebrating the finished product.
