The Texas Show has been at the heart of our community for generations, bringing together agriculture, entertainment, local talent and country hospitality. Whether you’re a competitor, exhibitor, volunteer or simply coming along for a great family day out, this year’s show promises to have something for everyone.

Planning is well underway, with lots of volunteers working behind the scenes to prepare livestock sections, entertainment, competitions, trade displays and family activities. While many people only see the excitement over show weekend, countless hours of work go into creating the event our community enjoys each year.

This year’s program features all the favourites including Stud Cattle, Campdraft, Ring Events, Dressage, Yard Dog Trials, Wood Chop, Dog Competition, Tough Texan Challenge, Classic Vehicle Display, markets, pavilion exhibits and one of the district’s biggest rodeos.

There will also be plenty of entertainment for families with Noah’s Pig Races, Laser Skirmish, the Mechanical Bull, Wipe Out, Sideshow Alley, spectacular fireworks and a live performance by Will Day on Saturday evening. Sideshow Alley has been a big push for this year's committee and we have been able to confirm we are getting more rides. We will be having the Sizzler, Cobra, Tea Cups and Jumping Castle.

Our colouring in competition is back this year and entry forms are available on the Texas Show Society website. These entry forms can be delivered to the Texas State School or to the Texas Newsagency before the 18th of July.

The pavilion is always a highlight of the weekend, and we encourage everyone to enter their baking, preserves, photography, handicrafts, art, flowers, produce and home-grown exhibits. Every entry helps showcase the incredible talent that exists throughout our district.

The Texas Show is only possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and the dedication of volunteers who give their time each year. Their contribution helps keep this important community tradition alive for future generations.

Mark the dates in your calendar and start making plans now—we look forward to welcoming everyone to another fantastic Texas Show 25 and 26 July.
