BLASK Engineering Regional Winners
The Queensland Training Award finals for the Darling Downs and Southwest region were held last Friday evening at the Oaks Toowoomba, a classy event with cocktail and lounge suit dress.

BLASK Engineering, a major employer from Inglewood, were finalists in the Small Employer of the Year category.
To their credit BLASK were announced the winners against CTB Flooring (A family-run business providing high-quality flooring installation across Toowoomba and surrounding areas) and Kotzur Bulk Solids Handling who delivers innovative manufacturing solutions with a focus on transferring technical knowledge to the next generation.
BLASK Engineering were recognised for outstanding achievement in Vocational Education and Training (VET) by a Queensland business with ninety-nine or fewer full-time equivalent employees.
For more than three decades, BLASK Engineering has invested in developing highly skilled tradespeople through apprenticeships, vocational qualifications and specialised industry training. Working closely with training providers enables employees to develop their skills in supportive, small-group settings while gaining valuable hands-on experience. This commitment to workforce development continues to build capability across engineering, fabrication and agriculture sectors.
“We’re proudly a regional business with eleven apprentices at present providing the youth of Inglewood with a career path,” Brad Johnson said.
