Inglewood Students participate in the Southern Downs Interschool Chess Tournament
Eleven students from Inglewood State School, recently participated in the Southern Downs Interschool Chess Tournament, held at Clifton State High School on Wednesday 22nd October.

Seven games of chess were played with some excellent results from our students.
Clayton Flint missed the top placings by one draw and ended up on 5.5 points out of 7. Rocky Cooper ended on the highest points out of all the Year 3 students at the competition.
Everyone played well and displayed excellent chessmanship.
This year, our Year 3/4 and 1/2 classes completed eight weeks of on-line chess lessons, run by Les Lord of the Toowoomba Chess Club. The fantastic lessons and coaching provided by Les, was evident with the great results achieved by all our players.
