Pollie Pedal Riders visit to Inglewood
Pollie Pedal 2026 rolled through Inglewood as part of its seven-day charity ride through regional Queensland, raising funds for veteran charity Wandering Warriors.
The annual ride began in Toowoomba on 22 August and brought together Members of Parliament, veterans, community leaders, volunteers and supporters, led by The Honourable Angus Taylor MP and Pollie Pedal founder The Honourable Tony Abbott AC.
By the time riders reached Inglewood, they had completed more than 500 kilometres of the journey.
During their time in town, Wandering Warriors CEO Quentin Masson DSM and members of the Pollie Pedal group visited the Inglewood War Memorial, continuing an important tradition of stopping at memorials throughout the ride to recognise and honour those who have served.
The riders also experienced the generosity for which regional communities are renowned.
Local support, hospitality and encouragement were a significant part of the journey through Inglewood and the surrounding region.
Pollie Pedal was founded in 1998 and has since covered almost 30,000 kilometres and raised more than $7.4 million for charitable causes across Australia.
Wandering Warriors is the charity recipient of Pollie Pedal for the fourth consecutive year.
Funds raised in 2026 support programs assisting Australian Special Forces veterans and their families as they transition to life beyond military service. This includes career transition and readiness, mentoring, education, professional development and entrepreneurship opportunities delivered through Wandering Warriors and The Krait Foundation.
Following their time in Inglewood, the riders continued towards Clifton as part of the final stages of the 2026 ride.
