Prep to Year Two Focus

Inglewood State School prep to year two students have been working hard this week to show how much they have learnt this term.

Our prep students are always learning with Mrs C-D and Mrs Hobbs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and with Mrs Doherty and Miss Kylie on Thursdays and Fridays. Our small, dedicated Prep class gives our students an excellent start in their educational journey – and we are lucky enough to have secured the same straight Prep set-up and dream teams in 2026!

There have also been great things happening this week in the Cool Cats 1/2 class room with Mrs Cooper, Ms Westman, Miss Gemma and Mrs Renwick.

Students made Push/Pull toys for science to test out theories of forces in motion, which progressed to paper worm races!

Students in Mrs Cooper’s class always begin their day with “Smiling Minds”, a meditation that helps students embrace flexible thinking, act purposefully and improve communication with their peers. Meditation is part of The Resilience Project (TRP) where we learn the benefits of gratitude, empathy and mindfulness and easy ways to practice these in everyday life. (To learn more, please contact the school or look online). TRP - just another way at Inglewood State School we show that we care, we learn and together we succeed!
