Roosters Old Boys / Ladies Day
On August 8th, 2026 the Inglewood Roosters hosted the Stanthorpe Gremlins for the Ladies League Tag and Men’s BRL competition games.
Inglewood won both games, and after winning the last fixture game on August 15th against Tenterfield the girls haven’t lost a fixture game this season. Congratulations on being Minor Premiers girls!
The men lost against Tenterfield on the 15th of August so will now play off against Stanthorpe to see who will take on Tenterfield in the Grand Final, in Tenterfield. The semifinals will be held in Inglewood on September 5th with Stanthorpe to take on Tenterfield in the girls that day too.
The old boys played against 14 Millmerran old boys, with a young Klein family member on each side. The day was also a Memorial Day to remember Russell Klein who was tragically taken from his family and community.
Russell played football for both Inglewood and Millmerran despite living in Millmerran, and both his sons also played for Inglewood, but on August 8th Jai played for Inglewood and Jayden played for Millmerran. It was an emotional day for everyone.
Over $8000 was raised for charity by auctioning the old boys’ jerseys after the game.
