Success at Darling Downs Schools’ Cup Volleyball!
The Inglewood State School Intermediate (Years 9/10) Boys Volleyball team enjoyed fantastic success at the recent DD Schools’ Cup Event at Harristown SHS. Nine teams were in their division, and the competition was certainly fierce.

After winning a couple of games, they experienced a few challenges but nevertheless placed well in their pool. After an annoying defeat in their semi-final (which they were winning confidently but ultimately lost in the dying moments), they were hungry to finish well and determined to win the Bronze Medal playoff.
It was an exciting game where they were the ultimate victors and the taste of a Bronze Medal never tasted so sweet! It was a hard-earned victory, and the boys deserved the reward for all their hard efforts in training and games.
Special congratulations to Brandon who received the team’s Most Valuable Player Award and was included in the All-Schools’ team on the day – well done!
The team have been competing in weekly fixtures in Toowoomba to improve their skills and gameplay and the efforts are certainly reaping rewards.
This weekend, the boys will compete in the Queensland Volleyball Schools’ Cup event, where over 330 teams are expected to participate from over 165 schools. It’ll be a fantastic culmination of their years with volleyball, and the boys are looking forward to the event with great anticipation. Hopefully, their recent success will stand them in good stead and keep their winning momentum going.
Stay tuned for more volleyball adventures!
