Sun, surf and volleyball – what more could you want!
Four Inglewood State School Beach Volleyball teams left the cold of home behind last weekend and instead headed to Coolangatta Beach where they enjoyed the best weather and welcome the Gold Coast had to offer.
Conditions were sensational and our Nine Boys, Nine Girls, Eight Boys and Seven Girls teams all enjoyed the chance to spend a couple of days in the sun and surf, playing the game, we love.
All teams gained enormously from the experience with many highs and lows that characterise great sport.
New skills were gained whilst hanging out with friends, all against the backdrop of the beach – how sublime.
Beach volleyball is a little different to indoor and we always relish the chance to perfect our skills (and enjoy a bit of extra diving for shots along the way!)
Every team won some games or sets so the experience has certainly made us hungry for more.
