This term, Matilda and Vinnie joined a skill builder course focusing on building and programming a robot to work in the agricultural industry.
This enterprising team of two worked online with staff and students from across the state, developing a range of thinking strategies which enabled them to approach the challenge from new perspectives.
Matilda and Vinnie designed a robot to work on strawberry plants. The automatic machine can travel across multiple rows and identify what each plant requires and then provide it!
Students also had to pitch their idea and ‘sell it’ to prospective buyers.
We are grateful to the Roma State College for offering these opportunities each term and to Mrs Osborne for coordinating it.
Our exceptional students have been engaged in many different online courses this year, including biomedical engineering! What an amazing way to learn in a rural area – technology is certainly the future for our Inglewood State School students.
We care, we learn and together we succeed.
